At last I watched Gerrard playing at Anfield with my own eyes!!!

by wh
Anfield Stadium, Liverpool

That day, 12th Sept 2009, my life's almost completed... I've finally watched a Liverpool home match with my very own eyes, sitting one of the seats in Anfield, and joining around 40,000 liverpool fans cheering for the reds! Its opponent is Burnley that day, well they are not a really good competitor to Liverpool team. The home team scored 4-0 against Burnley!!! Well, the disappointment is non of the goals scored by either Gerrard or Torres but it was still a good match, a really good experience.
Anfield Road, Liverpool

A day before, I start travelled from Bristol at night and stayed overnight in Crewe station. Then I took about an hour train to Liverpool in the morning. It's exhausting but still worth it. 2 hours before the match, we've seen lots of Liverpudlians wearing red walking around the city centre. During our way to Anfield Stadium, fans were cheering and singing, having some drinks outside the pub, big banners of Gerrard and Torres were hanging outside houses along Anfield Road, and lots of Reds fans walking toward the stadium.

Me & SC's Liverpool Tickets

Arrived at Anfield Stadium at last...
"THIS IS ANFIELD"

Before the match start, " You'll never walk alone" came out from speakers, and all 40,000 die-hard liverpool fans were standing up, lifting up their scarves, and singing along to the song. That was an unbelievable moment and you wouldn't believe the atmosphere was that great! The song meant that the Liverpool fans will always stay support to their players and they'll never walk alone on the field. Well, before the match I thought it might be a 5-0 or a 7-0 match. Yes indeeed it ended 4-0 instead, an easy competition for Liverpool side. The atmosphere is much more intense in the stadium than in front of a TV. Liverpool fans were cheering and shouting at players to support them in every single moment.

Watching the match together with 47,000 more fans!!!
Liverpool's XI prepare to kick Burnley's ass

SC is a bit dissapointed as Torres didn't score that day, she couldn't sing the Torres song I taught her a day before. LOL... because everytime Torres score, fans will sing along Torres song to celebrate his goal... But still I heard the fans sang the Gerrard's song during the match.

Leaving Anfield through Bill Shankly's gate,

Anyway, thanks for accompanying me to this match, SC... makes my dream come true. ^^

Y O R K...

by Shanna
York Minster, York
York, a lovely old city with stone wall surround the place, with lots of English people (unlike London), and having a really delicious signature dish, Yorkshire pudding~! If people want to discover good old English culture, it wouldn't be either Bristol or London, it would probably be York in my opinion. We've good old English breakfast, English bedroom, English Castle, little English street and having certainly one of the English's favourite, Yorkshire pudding. It was the last day of our trip in York, we've a really good Yorkshire Pudding with roast pork slices, crackling, and some roast potatos. Owww, it's fuckin delicious!!!

Me having a great time with SC, Shanna, Kelvin and Hsiehni in York. Lots of fun and funny moments during the trip. Lots of laughing out loug pictures and videos being taken. Especially Kelvin, thanks for the laughters and the farts... !

A lot of ghost hunting walk during the night time in York. There'll be a man with a old funny custom will bring a group of people to some haunting places and giving ghost story telling. As I heard from John that followers will be given a sound recorder and recorded it during the walk. Then they can replay it when they got back home to see whether any "thing" is following them during that walk.

York through my eyes...

That's it! not much actually about York but still have a wonderful time... My next trip, Venezia, Italia!

Msia, we've a problem...

LOL, probably one of the funniest clip I've ever seen... The clip told the truth as well, what a taxi driver think about Malaysian football, english education in Malaysia and party-hopping... Just after Khairy finish said about how fed up he is about Malaysian not supporting their own local FC, a bloke just came into the taxi and says he support chelsea... lol... Then Khairy had a little arguement with the passenger which makes the passenger left the taxi in the end... After he left, Khairy's handphone rang Man Utd ringtone... =.= Fckn hell...

My favourite part would probably be the interaction between the Malay guy who speak in mandarin, Baki Zainal with Khairy. He's one of the malaysian celebrities. When the taxi driver said "korang melayu cakap melayulah", I've thought about the same thing happened in malaysian chinese themselves. "If you're Chinese, speak Mandarin lah, wana show how good your English, aren't you?" Sigh, don't know this kinda thing still happened in Malaysia or not... The Malay guy then critised the taxi driver, and also says about the driver not using meter. Well, few years ago me and my Korean housemates "chopped" by a taxi driver when we were heading back from KL to Subang. They said even in South Korea, taxi driver'll let passengers know approximately how much they'll be paying, the passengers'll still pay according to the meter machine and not according to what a taxi driver charged...

Well afterall, Baki says the truth that Malaysia do have a problem which is Khairy Jamaluddin the taxi driver himself. In the end, Khairy who create issues with the Malaysian Chinese community years ago and Namewee who as well critised the Malay community long ago sitting together in a taxi. The director would probably just wana bring out the message that the Malaysian can share and live together in a peaceful manner despite having some political and social problems. Even Namewee likes Malay's keris, and Khairy would likes to share some of his culture with a Chinese.

My Childhood Anime... Iron Leaguer!!!

When Ah Peng came to Bristol last month, we've a pretty good chat about almost everything! One of them is this anime, Iron Leaguer !!! We watched it on Astro every Saturday morning when we were still in primary school. He reminds me of a bunch of robot athletes play various type of sports and duke it out in the tournament. They are a team which play fairly, teamwork and with heart(sounds ridicous, right?) against a team which monopoly the tournament playing dirty tricks and unfairly. The anime mostly involving baseball and football. Well, the point of watching this anime is their finisher moves which I think is cool when I was small. I also remember I bought Magnum Ace action figure last time!!! Really passionate about these robots at that time!!!(and now as well!!!)

This anime aired on TV 15 years ago!!! When we're chatting in Bristol, he told me that he couldn't find this anime now as it's becoming less popular and not many people collect this anime at that time. But I found it days ago on tudou, bloody excited...! Well, I told him the other day and he said he already start downloaded the whole anime... =.= WTF... We both are a bit dissapointed as the anime does Japanese speaking with Chinese subtitle instead of Cantonese which it's different from what we watched years ago. Well it's a non-logical robot sports anime, imagine a robot saying that "we must have sportmanship!" Adults would probably found this nonsence... Luckily the cartoonist didn't put robot/human romance, that would be even ridiculuos!
