Finally I get off the job I have done for 8 months...
Worked like a robot, a job is nothing but a total lie,
lying from the start til the end...
And in the end, the reward you're getting
is not equivalent to your hard work...

The possibilities of 10,000 calls; getting 800 potential calls;
and get as much deals as you can in 3 months, usually it's less than 10...
Countless sighs, downfall, disappointment in the sales floor...
Sometimes I think this job is not based on hard work but luck...

Think back again, managers in this company are truly leaders...
Different from other people from what I see...
They're self-motivated and really good in motivating others,
giving positive thoughts instead of giving up easily in what you do...
Their goal setting, rules and ways in managing staff is
one of those valuable experience I've learned...

It's Sony MRD-XD200... It's not something latest in the market but a decent pair of quality headphone I get so far... Bring my music enjoyment to another level... So those who think music is their life, or life can't live without music, what a huge difference it is music without a headphone... LOL... This decent set of headphones will make you feel music is something that is no longer intangible but something that actually bring you comfort to your mind and quality sounds to your life...

One of those good songs recommended by Shana the other day. Tagged me and Amos. Remembered the live show we had in a local London Pub last year. It was a little music concert by "the passenger" inside the Regal Room of the Distiller Pub. The background, the lighting, and the acoustics feel of this video just reminded me of the live show by "the passenger". It's hard to find this kind of show in Malaysia. Probably pubs in the UK or US can gives us this kind of live, acoustic & little bit of indie-rock kinda feel. Truly missing live indie-rock music show of that time. Everytime I listen, I'll found peace in my heart, a space where I have no worrying or any complex thoughts, feels like escaped from the reality. If there is a next time for me to fly back 6500 miles back to London, and a chance for a live show again, surely not to be missed...

Well it's true in some way. In our tele-sales job, it's tougher.

Our client doesn't know how we look like, whether we're smiling or having eye contact with them. So how are going to build connection with them? People can only judge us through our voice, laugh, and personality on phone. And 1 more thing, rapport building. So if your client doesn't trust you, means that business is over. To be liked or not to be liked, that's the key of whether you can sell your stuff or not. (I actually blogging business stuff here. Dmn! but a good quote from my colleague)

Football, regards as the most beautiful game in the world. No one ever expect a football game can end up with people crushed, died, injured or even traumatised. What a tragedy, what a disaster that happened on the 15th April 1989 at the Hillsborough Stadium. 96 Liverpool Fans lost their lives during the FA Cup Semi-Final against Nottingham Forest. 96 Liverpool fans never came home

I never know the story. I mean the full-story or the true-story until I watched "Hillsborough- the documentary" few days ago. The memorial service was held at Anfield Stadium recently for the remembrance of the 96 victims at Hillsborough. It's the first time I watch the memorial service & it's already been the 22nd annual memorial service for year 2011. People in the stadium were touched, wiped their tears and felt sad about what had actually happened during that day.

That day, Liverpool fans were allocated the smaller end of the stadium, the Leppings end. It was tighly packed at the time. But as a result of some bad decisions made by the police, who never control the crowd appropriately, allowing thousand of Liverpool fans streaming into the ground. Poor crowd control outside the ground meant fans were ushered in through un-manned barriers and turnstiles into the narrow entrances onto the terrace within.

Shortly after kickoff, there were far too many fans jammed in the lepping lane. Fans outside the stadium keep getting in without noticing what actually happen inside. Fans were pressed up against the metal fences in front, pushed too far forward to get back to an upright position and crushed from behind by the sheer weight of their numbers.

At that moment, some fans were packed so tightly in the crowd that many of them died standing up of compressive asphyxia. Fans who were in the stand above tried to help those below by lifting them up out of the crush. The pitch quickly started to fill with people sweating and gasping for breath and injured by crushing, and with the bodies of the dead. After awhile the police, stewards and St Johns ambulance service came to the stadium in order to do whatever they can. Fans helped as best they could by using advertising board as a stretchers to lift injured victims and some of them attempting CPR. 96 of the fans didn't make it in the end. They came to watch a beautiful game and they died. The 96 never came home.

That day, the policemen were the one who gave the order to let the fans to move quickly inside the ground. But in official testimony, one of the policemen tried to lie and cover it up. In the end, the police who gave the order get an early retirement on an enhanced pension. Another police officer was adjudged to have traumatic stress from the incident was award 330,000 pound of compensation compared to one of the parents who lost a son in the disaster paid 3,500 pound of compensation. Even there's a CCTV which can unfold the tragedy, the policemen cover it up by saying the CCTV tape were somehow stolen from the control room. On that very day, some policemen were actually prevented ambulance crew to get into the pitch to help out the dead. Not a single person were charged or prosecuted because of the disaster, not one policeman even lost their job. Where's the justice?

After 22 long years, families from the Hillsborough disaster still waiting for the justice for the 96. April 15th is not about football anymore for Liverpool, it's about remembering the 96 who lost their lives, who never came back home. Justice will prevail.

One day I just passed by McD's and saw a new set of menu with 4 newly introduced giant burgers. Can't resist the temptation of experimenting one of them, the MegaMac/ Double BigMac. Well BigMac is already a "Big" burger for us, a MegaMac? That's a taller, juicier & meaty monster... like swallow a whole beef into your mouth... lol overstated...

People might think it's going to be hard to open their mouth and have a bite on the MEGAMAC. That's definitely untrue, I tried to squeese the burger using both hands and get a mouthful bite on it. (which is) Outstanding! In fact, the satisfaction of one mouthful bite on the four beef patties giant burger is worth beyond the money you're paying for! It's around RM13 which means around 3 pound in the UK. By looking at the price, I realised something. This means that you can pay the same price either getting a MegaMac Meal in Malaysia or a BigMac Meal in the UK. Awesome! Anyone who loves burger should definitely try this!

Interestingly I read a news recently about people in Taiwan are having difficulties opening their mouths after sinking their teeth into MegaMac. Unbelievable! and one of the Professor in Taiwan actually urges McD to limit the size of the MegaMac after stated that bitting burgers taller than 3-inches can cause jaw problems.

The Inspirational Story of Panyee FC in Thailand

The picture shown the homebuilt floating football pitch of the Panyee FC with old fishing rafts and nails sticking out on the pitch...

The true story began in 1986, when a group of kids from an island fishing village in Thailand called Koh Panyee, thinking about starting their own football team instead of just watching it on TV. But their situation disallowed them to play football, there's no space for football in the small fishing village. Well in the end, the kids decided to build a floating football pitch of their own with old fishing rafts and some scrappy woods.

The kids eventually developed their football skills on the small floating pitch and sometimes slippery surface. The team decided to participate in one of the regional competition. Believe it or not, Panyee FC had become one of the Southern Thailand's best youth FC, having won the youth champions of Southern Thailand for 7 consecutive times.

I used to think that my drawing skill gives me confidence and believe that I'm actually gifted with something, I'm actually special...

I used to think that cooking and make some good food give me some reason to enjoy my life...

I used to think that travelling gives me a lot of surprises and fresh new things...

I used to think that love from friends and family gives a sense of recognition to be part of the group...

I used to think that what I do will actually get the expected return that you want...

But now,

I don't have time to draw, cook, travel...

Even you wanted to do those things, you can't...

well, more things awaits in front of you...

Be realistic... You need a career... You need to work to get more money... You need to do something that have been planned even you don't like it... You need to get the best job out there... You need to expect yourself to do more than what you're doing now... Drawing ain't going to give you a future... Cooking just going to waste your precious time, instead of doing that, go and buy some foods... Travel? well, not really an option anymore after came back to Malaysia... Love? too busy to get and give... Getting what you expected to get after an intense and weighty effort? No... never expecting...

The job I'm doing now doesn't makes my heart pounding as hard as I used to have in England...

Meaning of life?

What makes me keep going and move forward with my life... ?

I don't really know...

But still... move on...

Probably that's life...

Have you ever been in a situation where your mindset questioning yourself "why are you doing in what you're doing right now" "shouldn't you be...." in a very sudden state...

When I was doing my job in the office today, as usual, talked to my client, after that I hanged my phone... "PAP!" a blink of an eye, I suddenly feel like I just came to a whole new world... questioning myself and telling myself "I'm not supposed to be here..." I am not supposed to be sitting here doing sales...

Don't know why...

It feels like one second ago I was sitting in my comfy chair inside my room in Filton Bristol, then after that sitting the same chair in my office in KL...

Feels like in a flash, I just came back from somewhere with a time machine... totally different state......

Don't know why, maybe it's just stress...

Well some words I actually never heard before, like "Twat", "Spliff", "Tosser"; 1st time exposed to those words on skns... I still remembered myself asking Caron (my calleague in Sains) what "Twat" is, funny moment...

Don't you love the way they are talking, calling their friends "mates", "love", "darling", "bugger" which I still found it only the Brits speak in that lovely~ way... Cheers Skns... :)

The last 3 days in the UK: some rain, little gig; and a fish and chips

I have spent my last 3 days in the UK in London. Well, where else can i stay besides house of shanna, cheehwa, amos... They are the only Malaysian i know that still staying in London...

3 days before I left, me, cheehwa and crystal have some poker playing with amos's little bucket of coins... I taught them how to play at first, then they shown interest... afterward, cheehwa started to play poker on facebook. Well, he's becoming more addicted after playing a few rounds. Means that he's lying on his bed only with his laptop playing poker with other people online. Then it was crystal & amos. Never realise poker was that influential...

2 days before I left, me and cheehwa went out to piccadilly circus to do some shopping. Well I bought some souveniers for friends in segamat. Then we walked to Apple store to try on iPad which is amazing to me. Afterward, the sky of London started to rain, what a day ain't it. You thought you might get a sunny day during London summer time, well think again. As what some people usually said, "the UK weather is like the personality of a woman, you never know what you get." Rain shower, is what UK famous for, raining average 200 days per year. Sometimes you get cloudy and glommy days which is just not right...

At night, me, amos and shanna went for a gig of a local artist called mike rosenberg, the vocal of a band, passenger. Maybe he doesn't have the look (to be frank) but he does have the voice that you would never ever forget. The uniqueness of his voice is like listening to Damien Rice. The passion he given and the emotion he shown on that night makes every penny worth watching such a heart-pounding live show. I was first watch mike performing at the street of Bath with his tremondous vocal. How could such a person not in the list of fame. A day before the gig, I shown shanna his CD I bought at the street of Bath. She loved it so as others i guess. Then she found out his gig in London the next day at one of nearby pub which is great! I never thought I would be seeing mike performing again. After the show, leaving the English Pub only with his songs floating in my mind.

On the way back to shanna's house, I saw a fish and chips shop which is almost similar to the one I like in Tooting Broadway. Then I thought I'm going for a last British-made fish and chips before I leave the UK. But it wasn't as good as the one I have near Tooting Broadway. I sometimes have one of those everytime I visit SC near Tooting. But what a day it was, filled with English taste ain't it? the rain, the gig in a pub; and the fish and chips...

On my last day, saying goodbye to shanna, amos and crystal before I left the building. Cheehwa was such a good lad, give me company til the airport, I thought I was leaving alone really... But thanks really to cheehwa, shana, amos and crystal spending these last few days with me before I left this lovely place. I never felt that hard feeling thinking about leaving this place when I was in Bristol and London. But after I get on a plane, I realised I have been given a lot of things here and some good memories were given by this place & the people... I would never get a chance to travel europe with easyjet, there'll be no more Sainsbury's in Malaysia, no more cheap lager, ale, no more fast internet connection, no more ebaying.... Damn... I really gonna missed this place...

离开英国16天前：回忆是美好地：歌舞剧

歌舞剧啊... 在英国看了难忘的四场: "妈妈咪呀!" (Mamma Mia!), "歌剧魅影"(Phantom of the Opera), "女巫前传"(Wicked), 及 "狮子王"(The Lion King). 对英国人来说, 观看现场文艺表演好像是蛮普遍的余兴节目... 歌舞剧起源于英国, 早初被称"音乐剧"... 至十九世纪末, 英国人已开始看歌舞剧了... 所以来到英国怎么可以不看已有两百多年历史的歌舞剧呢?

对我们来说, 看西式歌舞剧是一种全新的娱乐经验, 新的见闻, 至少也得看一场... 还记得当初两年前看了"歌剧魅影"之后, 回到了伦敦的宿舍认识了一班美国人... 当他们问起我们在伦敦该去些什么地方时, 我们提议他们去看伦敦的歌舞剧... 因为对第一次看了"歌剧魅影"的我们来说, 是一场必看的表演... 但他们却对伦敦的歌舞剧毫无兴趣, 说在纽约的时候, 已看了无数场... 想着想着, 忘了美国也有歌剧院... 对亚洲人来说, 看一些不曾看过的东西会特别兴奋吧; 也因为那些歌舞剧也满足了或超越了我们进歌剧院前的期望... 几乎每一场结束后, 歌舞剧都会把我们吹走... 呼~

在伦敦, 歌剧院不像电影院... 比如"歌剧魅影"只属于一所歌剧院, 长年都在同一件歌剧院表演... 因为这样也好,进入了歌剧院后,仿佛真的进入了他们的世界... 每一位舞台演员深入的表演以及舞台上的音效及特技效果, 每一幕的喜怒哀乐在肉眼前都显得非常的真实, 引起了观众的情感共鸣, 情绪起伏也被表演控制了, 仿佛参与了歌舞剧般... 每一场的结束, 全场观众都站起来报以热烈的掌声... 其中难忘的"妈妈咪呀!"歌舞剧... 表演结束后, 观众席的气氛是如此的热烈... 不止有掌声, 热情的观众还随着播放的ABBA的经典歌曲一起随着歌唱, 载歌载舞, 如醉如痴...

从第一次看了歌舞剧后, 就说只是去见识一下就好, 当初还觉得票价好贵哦... 可是看了第一场后, 就有第二, 第三, 第四场... 歌舞剧现场的真实表演吸引了我.... 每一位主角的高音歌唱都令人惊奇不已.... 每一场的惊喜, 大笑, 感动... 每一幕剧情及每一次被吹走的经验都深感难忘.........

只要有看过冲上云霄的, 都会想来到罗马吧...

罗马城就像戏剧里拍写的一样美丽,
但一些罗马人本身却不像戏剧中那么友善...
来到罗马, 一定要走过斗兽场...
我觉得她是古罗马留下来最漂亮的遗作...
唯一丑陋的是扮演罗马战士的肥胖意大利人,
赚旅客钱的方式和米兰大教堂前的那些奸诈的意大利人完全没分别...

到了罗马, 也一定要来到特萊維喷泉...
除了欣赏这座雄伟的喷泉之外, 也要在喷泉前投擲钱币许愿...
传说如果投擲一枚钱币, 旅客会再多返回罗马...
投擲两枚的话, 旅客会遇到新的爱情故事...
投擲三枚的话, 旅客可能会结婚或离婚...

在罗马, 尝试了不少美食...
意大利冰淇淋(gelato)是一定少不了...
我们来到了一间叫Giolitti的甜品专卖店,
从1890营业至今, 它算是个百年来字号...
这间是吃过最好吃的, 滑腻的口感和浓密的口味,
我们在意大利也不知吃了多少支gelato....
难怪在意大利发现了一种现象,
那就是有不少老人家在舔冰淇淋, 而且那时还是冬天呐!
在罗马的一些皮萨店, 皮萨是以重量定价格的, 还蛮特别的...
来到意大利, 也要来一杯香浓的意大利咖啡...
可是走了7天, 我既然忽略了咖啡... 天啊~!

在罗马, 我们一班四人也来到了納沃納广场(Piazza Navona)...
原本以为又是一个普通的广场, 可是那天的广场却爆满了人...
那天是正好是欧洲主显节(Epiphany), 基督教的其中一个盛事...
我们那时对这节日完全不熟悉,
只感觉到好像搞嘉年华一样, 人潮拥挤到...
广场上有一些街头表演,街头画家, 街头真人扮的塑像等...
当然, 被人潮吓傻的我们也到摊位逛逛走走...
那些摊位卖的有巫婆玩偶, 玩具, 棉花糖, 松饼, 太妃糖苹果....
那天搞不清楚是什么节日时, 还真的以为是万圣节...

这就是某新闻台播放在罗马納沃納广场的主显节(Epiphany)

我会再回到罗马... 吧, 逼近在许愿泉那留下了愿望...
罗马市政府也因为这样的传说, 也赚了一笔吧...
除了特萊維喷泉给于一天的三千欧元,
旅客也可能因为许了愿而再度回到罗马...

梵蒂冈... 是世界上最小的国家...

位于意大利首都罗马城西北角的梵蒂冈高地上...

梵蒂冈也是全世界天主教的中心教皇国,

全国人口约1400人, 而且常住人口仅约540人...

我们先来到圣彼得广场, 之后前往梵蒂冈博物馆...

来到梵蒂冈博物馆, 当然少不了参观西斯廷小堂(Sistine's Chapel)

在西斯廷小堂里, 穹顶画和祭坛画是主要焦点...
穹顶画又名为"创世纪", 画中描述了圣经Genesis部分中九个故事,
从开天辟地直到洪水方舟的故事...
其中著名的是"创造亚当", 在不少电影都用了这一幕,
本人在小堂里抬头看的每一个故事都觉得有点不可思议...

而祭坛画中讲述了圣经中"最后的审判",
描绘世界末日的到来...
画中显示基督正审判着人世间的善恶;
善者将上天堂而恶者将下地狱...
蛮特别的是祭坛画里其中一名圣徒,
一手拿着割皮刀, 一手拿着被剥下的人皮...
而那人皮便是米开朗基罗本人,
据说这是米开朗基罗在画中留下签名的方式, 太有创意了吧...
虽然不是基督徒... 但看了米开朗基罗两幅的伟大杰作, 只能说极为壮观!

梵蒂冈另一特点是梵蒂冈有自己的邮政,
拥有特别黄色的邮箱, 和象征梵蒂冈的邮票...
因有写明信片的关系, 这当然错不了...
对我来说, 没什么特别...
但对收到明信片的人来说应该特别有意义吧...

来到梵蒂冈, 惊叹的不是圣彼得广场中雄伟的建筑或是博物馆里的收藏品,
而是梵蒂冈对基督教教宗的崇拜超乎想象...
有走过聖伯多祿大殿里的游客, 都会看见一座座教宗的雕像,
数量还蛮多的, 基督徒主要信奉的不是耶稣及宗教本身吗?
觉得这种教宗的崇拜似乎有点夸张...

佛罗伦萨... 是意大利著名的艺术之都... 她是当年欧洲文艺复兴运动的发祥地和歌剧的诞生地...

当我们一班四人到了佛罗伦萨, 却下了雨... 佛罗伦萨的圣母百花大教堂是当地的地标, 但最喜欢的还是领主广场... 领主广场上有许多引人注目的希腊神话中的雕像, 神话人物有海格力斯, 海神尼普顿... 与最近两部电影(Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief; & Clash of the Titans)用的希腊神话当中其中的一幕, 珀耳修斯与他割下的美杜萨的头... 当然领主广场少不了米开朗基罗的大卫像,可惜只是复制品... 之后我们也走过不少广场: 共和广场, 圣十字广场与圣老楞佐广场... 佛罗伦萨可说是艺术之都, 每一个广场都有充满文艺设计的老建筑或是大殿... 有一些还少不了文艺复兴期间中著名的雕像...

之后大家也来到了皮萨, 就为了那一座斜塔... 那时天快黑了,也下了雨,这一生可能只来这么一次却发生了这种事... 有够哀... 就这样, 一天游玩的佛罗伦萨与皮萨还真的是不够... 没办法... 学生就是如此...

意大利水城威尼斯... 一个让人脱离现实世界,

有如踏进海市蜃楼, 似真似假...

这因为威尼斯无数的桥梁, 大大小小的运河, 充满艺术气息的小商店,

古典风情的钟楼与教堂, 以及充于浪漫情调的贡多拉...

眼前的水城美景真的会让人陶醉其中, 似活在逝去的时代...

本身已去了威尼斯两次, 来了两次还是会迷失...

因威尼斯无数的小巷和桥梁,曾多次在水城的迷宫里迷失...

第一次威尼斯的经验当然是最棒的, 其中除了贡多拉和水城观光之外,

我和妆都陶醉在威尼斯的意大利美食... 我们享用了海鲜意粉,

吃到上癮的传统carbonara, 入口即化的意大利千层糕(lagsane),

绵软适口的意大利烩饭(risotto) 以及每一天都需要的Gelato冰淇淋...^^

第二次的经验也蛮精彩的, 因为来到的时候是一月,

不幸地遇上威尼斯水位上升,得一路穿着皮靴走走...

第二次回到威尼斯的不会感觉生厌或乏味,

有种再次踏入时空隧道, 来到一个意想不到的,不一样的世界...

如此美丽的水城, 我觉得在世上已没有第二个威尼斯了吧...

岛上的各小商店大多卖的是艺术品, 比如有油画, 陈旧的玩偶, 彩色玻璃, 嘉年华式面具等...

威尼斯的嘉年华盛典与嘉年华式面具都让人对她感觉到神秘...

嘉年华那天，人人都会带着面具走走, 饮食, 购物与沟通...

如果有机会再去多一次的话,

一定会趁嘉年华期间去体验和感受那种特殊的经验...

米兰... 给人一种充满着时尚，设计，奢华购物的城市...

对我这种贫民来说, 所有东西突然变得超昂贵...

米兰第一天吃的不是意大利面, 皮萨... 而是麦当劳...

我和琪在那吃了八个起司汉堡,一个才五十仙欧币!

有了这种体验后,接下来在意大利的那几餐大多指望在麦当当了...

学生就是如此...

米兰大教堂... 哥特式的教堂建筑...

这教堂是如此的壮观, 我们还上了教堂的"天台",

风景当然是无话可说...

在英国这根本就是不可能的事, 大多数都在里边看看走走...

本身还蛮喜欢大教堂的哥特式怪兽像(gargoyles),

它们也是米兰大教堂另一特征...

尽管有能欣赏的东西, 也有烦人的事情...

米兰大教堂的广场四周都有无数的鸽子在悠闲踱步...

米兰的骗子是出了名的, 广场上的鸽子就是他们的商业用具,

他们会给旅客一些饲料来吸引鸽子,当我们收了那些饲料, 那一刻就被骗了...

我的一位曾去米兰的朋友,乔治是受害者, 这种手段骗了他二十欧元...

米兰虽让人感觉到时尚和繁华, 却因这些人而变得低俗...

Barca! Barca! Barcelona...! Believe it or not, no research undertaken before we came to this place. But in some ways it is good, Barcelona given me a lot of suprises. When I saw Sagrada Familia, I was amazed as I thought it was going to be another cathedral. But it wasn't, it was something magnificient that really (I felt) mind blowing. A cathedral that is so ambitious, filled with meanings, and probably the best work by Antoni Gaudi.

If anyone come to Barcelona, they have to visit the masterpiece left by Gaudi. Gaudi is a catalonian architect that construct most of Barcelona's notable architectures. His work included Casa Batlo, an apartment with ocean themed; Park Guell, a park build based on mosaic and ideas from different element of nature; and the most impressive one would be the Sagrada Familia.

Casa Batlo is an apartment with seaplant designed chimpney, a tunnel based on a backbone of a fish and elegantly curved wall based on the idea of the ocean wave. For me it is impossible to believe what he had built during his time. I certainly wanted to visit Barcelona again to see the complete work of Sagrada!

Girona... A place that we visited before we headed to Barcelona. The place was recommended by a guy on a plane. Me and sc were talking to this guy and he suggest us a place not far from the airport called Girona. Well, that's a last minute decision but it was no regret to go around the town.

It was a small old town with a lot of narrow streets and stairs. I felt like walking through a maze with old houses. There was a big cathedral up on the hill with a lot of stairs. But it was truly worth it, the view up from the hill was brilliant and the cathedral was like a saviour shelter for us. The weather is somehow too hot for us to handle, we were sweating and carrying our luggages and bags through streets and stairs, what a nightmare. But it was worth what we've spent our day in this beautiful old town.

Edinburgh... or so called "Edinbragh"... That's how the local pronounce it. Well, this is Scotland! Love the accent, the people, the bagpipper, the lovely town of Edinburgh! But the weather is too cold for me... Been there for 3 days and what a trip that is. The early morning at the Calton hill is truly amazing. I would never forget the view up on the Calton hill. We are probably at the right time with white snow covering hills that suround Calton hill which is beautiful. The white snowy street and the xmas event of Edinburgh also make this trip even more special.

Newcastle... this is the place where my sis will stayed for two years... The only thing that I liked about is the food, well the local pub food. Not once was bad, the Nancy Bortello was probably my favourite. There was once this fish and chips with its batter made by Newcastle Brown ale which is really good. I've been to Angel of the North, not much of an artistic person i am, so i couldn't understand what it is actually. Then the Tyne river where there are seven bridges along the river. Each of the bridges has different colour on it. So, that's it... pretty much like Bristol, ain't it? accept the geordie accent...

York... Been here twice, two memorable one. The first time I went with a suprise given to sc. Haha, should have seen her face with shocked and stunned expression. But what a trip it is, going with sc, shanna, kelvin and hn will always be fun and filled with laughters.

Second one was with my sis and my cousin, harn. They haven't been there before so we went there and also celebrated my birthday. We have a great time there and I remembered back those time I have with those lovely friends at the first time... Traditional shops, shambles, yorkshire pudding... lol, yorkshire pudding I thought it was a dessert at first... it represent so much about england I guess... roast beef, roast potatoes, and the pudding itself... I think it will be hard for me to find it in Malaysia... so, it's still worth coming for the 2nd time...

Oxford, the city of dreaming spires... The city is mostly built with buildings of University of Oxford, one of the oldest universities in the world. People who are brighter would probably came here to get challenge for higher education. Harry Potter fans would probably like this place as some scenes were taken from Oxford. Before I steped into Oxford, I thought Oxford Uni was just something Bristol Uni or UWE; but it wasn't. Last summer, the weather and the beach of Bournmouth was absolutely perfect. Going out with suyin, kenny, leo and his gf on that day. We went for a speedboat thingy, the aquarium, and the most importantly the beach. I kinda like Poole Quay near Dorset where's there's a harbour side with some pubs. People were drinking and relaxing; enjoying the chat and view along the harbour. There is a place near Bournmouth that I always wanted to go, it's Brownsea island. I kinda interested about the island as I was once a scout and Baden Powell set up the first boyscout camping in that island. But too bad I haven't had the chance to visit there before I fly back home.

I always wanted to come here. Visit Liverpool was a dream come true. Didn't know much about the beatles, but surely a lot on Liverpool fc. Heard from my uncle about Liverpool when I was a kid. That 70s, 80s era would probably their best time in English and European football. Not until the 2005 champions league final win, I'm so into Liverpool's football. Their spirit in competing every games and comeback from loses were really the reason why I'm supporting this club. The fans were mad and supportive as always. Every starting of the home game, the fans will sing "you'll never walk alone", every single word means so much to players, to fans. Those insipiration from fans backing up thier own club players truly made them the best football fans in the world in my opinion. To be part of them and finally came to Liverpool few years ago made it so special to me.

Been here once for a one-day trip. Cardiff is obviously a lovely city with its Cardiff Castle and Cardiff Bay; but I think for anyone to come to Wales, they have to go for hill hiking and camping and such. Hirim, my ex- work colleague seems to love camping and hiking hills somewhere near Wales. She mentioned about breath-taking views and wonderful breeze that makes her keep on going. The truth is Bristol is nothing but its clifton bridge, shopping mall and summer's hot air balloon fez. A year ago, I was once thinking of moving to London to continue post grad because not many friends staying in Bristol anymore. UWE... the place where the BAs and AFs meet. The place not only remind me about pressure of study but also fun with friends... When I studied postgrad, uwe only remind me about classes and library... But time spent with the undergrad friends from carroll court & student village were very memorable. Sometimes the BAs will go out late night just to meet friends at carroll court, escape bar, red bar and etc. People got drunk, vomit and say silly things. Sometimes I'll stay over at carroll court to have dinner with sc and went back home afterward by getting on the last bus. Gosh, I missed those kebab near the student village. I remember we've BBQ, stupid rugby game and someone fall off a trolley at carroll court... Well, those fun days are over... time passed quick, aint it...

What a time we have when five amatures preparing dinner together; playing CS and DOTA almost every single night; watching movies together in Alvin's room; playing card games in ah ke's room; and gives aruba to those who have birthday that day.... These things didn't happen again ever since I moved to Filton... Those days in Fishponds were really precious... It's too bad that time never learnt how to move backward... WWE Wrestlemania Revenge Tour,

Newcastle

For me, this is one of those experience that is hardly to be forgotten. It's been years of watching on TV and years of waiting, I finally get to watch the real thing before I fly back home! This is my first wwe live event! at Newcastle! Maybe it is a usual thing for Britians to watch wwe live as wwe come to Europe twice every single year. But for me a Malaysian, it's something new and fresh to watch them battling out in front of your eyes with super HD. Besides the chance for them to come to Malaysia to perform is nearly nil. Even they come to Malaysia, the fans wouldn't be as crazy as the hardcore fans inside the metro radio arena.

Finally I reached this place. It was a bit too early. I went to the event alone
and really hard to ask someone to take photo for me.

Finally I found someone to help me taking a picture. This is my only photo having me taken inside the arena. Well, it's not too bad but at least she should tell me that I've blocked the ring. I was seated at the lower box area, wearing Orton's shirt and waiting for the very first match to begin.

The first match, Chavo Guerrero vs. Evan Bourne. A great opening match and although the crowd seemed pretty dead to start with they warmed up and eventually got hugely behind Evan. Chavo missed a Frog Spash opportunity and Bourne managed to hit the Shooting Star Press and get the cover for the pin!

The second match of the evening, Christian vs Dos Caras Jr.

Huge reaction for Christian, the Captain Charisma, the roof almost blew off!

In the end Christian played the kill switch and won the match!

Divas triple threat championship match. Maryse vs Torress vs Kelly Kelly.

Pretty terrible match. Maryse won by retaining her title.

Wow!!! Randy!!! I came a long way from Bristol

to Newcastle just to support you!!! (...and also Triple H)

The two Legacy members bullied Orton in a 2 on 1 handicap match. The match was really good, aside from Cody who still sucks. Randy got the RKO on Rhodes which was extremely popular with the crowd and he won by pinfall. What a match it was and probably my favourite among the others.

USA vs the UK, MVP fight against William Regal.

The chanting "let's go Regal" was breaking out hugely against those who chant for MVP.

World tag team championship match,

Kofi Kingston with Mark Henry vs the Miz and Big Show.

From the picture, two Giants were battling out in the ring. Mark Henry had a punch on the Big Show. Before the match started, the Miz came out and cut a fantastic promo on the crowd that had everyone laughing! He said he had to endure several hours of flights, then an hour of immigration and then during that day he had to do a signing in Tesco and added "Tescos! Really?!" as it was very funny and hugely tallented guy on the mic.

The Main Event, Sheamus vs. John Cena.

What a disgrace, Triple H was promoted to battle against Cena. But Triple H was injured and replaced by Sheamus. Kinda dissapointed but still a great main event. Cena was enormously over with the crowd, not many haters and at least half of the crowed wore their orange Cena shirts, hats and sweatbands.

In the end, Cena won it with his attitude adjustment and most of fans gone wild.

On my way out of the arena, a group of Hardcore wrestling fans wearing old-school wrestler custome. People passed by and took some photos with them.

I bought myself a 15 quid European Tour programme book as souvenier. Overall it was a great experience in terms of the atmosphere and the fans; and the intensity of every single match which is brilliant! I would watch another one if I found someone to go with me next time and before me flying back to Malaysia.

A Little Story Of A Boy Who Wanted To Be An Artist

Long time ago, there's a little boy who likes to draw...loves to draw...
Drawing is something that could not left his life since the first time he learned how to draw...
He think he can came out with anything out of his mind with a pencil on his hand... that keeps motivate him to imagine... draws whatever on a piece of paper and sometimes on the wall...
He want to be an artist but he doesn't seems very sure whether this is something that he will be when he's grow up...
On a very young age, he keep drawing... he knows that he got the talent... With the praise from his friends,
He determine that the dream is gonna come true when he get elder...

But after come to a stage where everyone need to choose their career path...
His ambition moved by some opinions from his parents... "artist wasn't something that give you a better living..." "It's gonna be something difficult and need a lot of creativity to keep the job..." "You can look at your aunt who is a designer need to think out new ideas every time..."
After listening to his parent's opinions, he actually still have the dream in mind but started to know that his parents doesn't want to make himself an artist... This actually make him very very disappointed...
He also has another thought on his future path... He wants to be an artist, but the realistic situations does not allow him to make his own decision... He thinks that the parents were the persons who gave him money to study, he had to listen to them... At that time, he had the fear that what if he takes art and couldn't excel in art... and wasted his parent's money... what if that happen...
In his mind, there's this image of his parents saying " told you already, you should have....."
But if he follow what his parent said, even he failed, it's actually his parent's decision wanting him to study other course than art...

At that time, he didn't score high in pre-university course... He thinks he's a failure... he wants to continue his dream in art... but what if he fail again... he started to feel scare... he only have 1 month time to decide... art or business... in that short time, he decided to take his parent's opinions and study business... to study something that he unfamiliar and doesn't want to...
He said he doesn't have interest in business...
His parent ask what interest do you have then, what do you want to be...?
He didn't answer as he already knew the answer his parents are going to give...
He kept silent...
His parents then advised him to try business, even you don't have interest, interest can be "capitalised"...
He doesn't have any choices... doesn't have the courage to say it out... he doesn't want to disappoint his parents by saying those words... his mind keep telling him that he's taking his parent's money to continue his study so he have to listen to them... He knows that one day his parents want someone to take over his family business... that is why he choose what he had to choose...

In the end, he didn't regret...

He thinks that he had chosen the path, even though the current himself doesn't think that this is the path he's gonna take if time goes back... He thinks that he's gonna keep walking to the "other path" he already chosen and do whatever he can to make his life better...

If he doesn't go on this path, he wouldn't meet the love of his life, the chance to meet some of the kindest people around the world, getting an unusual part-time job and etc..

This thing happen in late 2006, after 5 years he decided to express it out somewhere... To remind himself, always move forward, and forget whatever he thinks is wrong in the past...

Looking backward doesn't gonna change anything in the past, but eventually moving forward and look a little bit further in your life, you might get something special or something you wouldn't expect to get in your life...

After watch it on TV for so many years, probably since secondary school, finally it's time to see the real thing with my own eyes!!! Yes, it's a Wrestlemania Revenge Tour! This could be my first and probably the last time I seen this show LIVE... Hmmm... sadly I'm staying at my sis's place in Newcastle and go to the show on my own... sigh... Good thing is the event will be held on the next day of my birthday! How good is that for a birthday present! :P

I'm flying back home after spending

2 years, 4 months & 8 days in the UK :)

What a feeling ain't it! I can't wait to see my family & friends after all these years...

I've forgotten how hot Malaysia was... Friends who have gone back to Malaysia

couldn't stand the weather in Malaysia... God hope I can adapt the heat in Malaysia...

I can finally have Malaysian food and Japanese food in bloody cheap price!

Sis told me a trend of people having Japanese buffet in KL... Talking about all

those places that I haven't heard before... Tenji? Jogoya? Yea, definitely

gonna try one of those! ^^

I've missed many things... my brother start taking undergrad program,

my cousin, liang liang borned a year ago & my dad doing a new business right now....

Malaysia had several things happened that I couldn't believe,

from the anti-government riots of last year to the recent

burning churches by the Muslims... I was scared to go back home...

Oh well I still have to go back... for Chinese New Year!!!

2 years without Malaysian CNY... can u imagine...

Day 2 we went to Calton Hill. The right timing, right weather and right "everything"!!! the sun is just coming out about 8 o'clock... the view is incredible, we saw beautiful white snowy mountains from the hill...

Then, we been to a place where the guidebook says it's a must-see. It's the Edinburgh Castle, which I personally don't recommend people to go in. It is just not worth 11 pound to get into a place to look at the view of Edinburgh. I think Calton Hill is way better than Edinburgh Castle and it's free of charge.

Then, we've been to the Elephant House to have a break for ourselves. It's the birthplace of Harry Potter. It is rather a marketing concept as neither the coffee and chocolate is nice. We were writing our postcard inside the cafe and people around us are having great time chatting. I wonder how JK Rowling wrote her book in such environment.

Chia Weng Fatt, or ah lang he was my classmate, my scout buddy, my friend just passed away yesterday. I'm now in Rome, Italy sitting here in a hostel's internet hub, reading one message after another about his passing is just unbelievable. I was shocked big time even Im not as close as compared to his other good friends. The last time we chat was on Facebook, talking about me going back to Malaysia and meeting him, celebrating Chinese New Year in Segamat. I don't know why you do it that way but you sure have your reasons of what you've done. I missed those days with you especially during those scouting sessions in seg hwa and times in Segamat. You're such a nice friend and for me it's such a great lost in life without a good friend like you... You were talking about your thoughts coming to the UK to work or study here part time and work part time in the UK last time with me... But why? why ah lang? I know I've missed the class gathering in Malaysia few months ago, but why cant you wait for the Chinese New Year? and why do you did that to yourself? I still can't believe it because you're such a great guy who wont do this kind of thing...

But thank you my friend, you've left me some great memories... Hope you'll be rest in peace my dear friend Chia Weng Fatt...

Christmas Market, Edinburgh

Me and my sis heading to Edinburgh, Scotland for 3 days 2 night. People may think we were crazy visiting Scotland around December but we went there with no regret and having lots of fun. Mainly because the city of Edinburgh having a Christmas market, a fun fair and a Santa's igloo; and the snowing is just right on time making the city looks beautiful... the city makes us feel Christmas, having an early white Christmas...

On day 1, we arrived at the Edinburgh about 3.30 pm and it already seems like night time for us. Since we couldn't go to any hill or castle, we went to the Christmas events near the Princes Street. Indeed, I'm already feeling Christmas when I pass by the Christmas fun fair and the Christmas Market.

Not a famous street in Edinburgh but

we found two beautiful Roses on the Rose street...

This one is more popular than the other two.

It is called Heart of Midlothian,a heart-shaped mosaic

built on a pavement of the Royal Miles.

People will usually spit on the heart as in the old times,

it is considered illegal to spit on the street apart from on the Heart.

Another reason is that people will gain some luck

if they able to spit right on the door of the tolbooth.
